Donation of e-Cube to Sichuan Province, China

The earthquake with the magnitude of 8.0 hit Sichuan Province, China in May, 2008. It brought about a total of 90,000 casualties and missing citizens. With the support from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan, we sent 14 employees including engineers and Chinese speakers in June, 2008, to regions where water was desperately needed.

There was a severely damaged region about two and half hours away from Chengdu City, the capital of Sichuan. Although this region was about 100km away from the epicenter, houses and shops collapsed.

Wellthy sent the victims camp a groundwater filtration system called, "e-Cube" for free. It demanded hard work to set this system under the flaming sun, but after all, it could provide safe potable water in late July.

e-Cube is a compact type of Groundwater Membrane Filtration System, but its capacity is to provide potable water for 40,000 people/day at the most. Our e-Cube certainly helped a lot of citizens in the region and as a result, we received testimonial from the House and city farm village Engineering Division of China.

It is very grateful that our technologies helped people's lives beyond the boarder. Our efforts paid off when the citizens showed happy expressions after having potable water in their hands for the first time.
